UCL: ‘Bad decision’ – Thierry Henry blames two Arsenal stars as Bayern Munich win 1-0

Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry has criticised two Gunners players, Gabriel Martinelli and Takehiro Tomiyasu for their roles in the decisive goal in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg 1-0 defeat against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

Henry also said that Arsenal’s performance against Bayern Munich ‘was not good enough’

Bayern Munich defeated Mikel Arteta’s side at the Allianz Arena to qualify for the semi-final on a 3-2 aggregate victory, having played a 2-2 draw in the first leg at Emirates Stadium.

“Today was not good enough I would say, but there was not much in the game. Both teams didn’t want to lose so they didn’t really go for it,” Henry told CBS Sports.

“There was a moment of bad decision, not only from [Gabriel] Martinelli but [Takehiro] Tomiyasu also, because he did not cover his centre-back for the cross or close that line.

“But you have asked me so many times, do I think Arsenal can win the Champions League? I say yes because I’m hoping and wishing.

“But if I take my Arsenal hat off when we play three games a week, we struggle.”
