Trabzonspor manager Abdullah Avci claimed Paul Onuachu could win the Goal of the Year award for his superb strike against Konyaspor on Friday.
Onuachu scored a spectacular winner for Trabzonspor to beat the visitors 2-1.
The Nigerian striker showed great awareness to meet a cross from Enis Destan and struck the ball with the back of his feet.
“I congratulate Onuachu; his second goal may be the goal of the year. It was a very rare goal,” Avci told reporters.
“I have no doubt about the good will of the team. We need to go further by increasing our energy and improving our game.”
The 29-year-old has scored six goals in eight league appearances for the Blue Burgundy.
He joined Trabzonspor from Sky Bet Championship, Southampton on loan this summer.
