Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong has given latest update on his recovery from injury.
Troost-Ekong underwent surgery for a thigh injury in February.
The centre-back sustained the injury during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
“I have had my first session on grass with the ball and I am just a matter of days to rejoining the group,” the PAOK Salonica of Greece defender disclosed in an interview with Eagle7fm
“It was first feared I will be out for three, four months, but it is now just seven weeks after surgery.”
The 30-year-old could now return in time to help PAOK’s quest to win the Greek League title.
PAOK are two points behind leaders AEK Athens on table.
