The Minister of Transportation, Sa’idu Alkali, has declared Nigeria’s commitment to addressing the serious issue of greenhouse gas emissions from the transport industry.
The minister made this commitment at the ongoing COP28 Summit in the United Arab Emirates, according to a statement by his Special Assistant (Public Affairs), Jamilu Ja’afaru.
Alkali underlined Nigeria’s lofty goal of not only combating climate change but also expanding mobility alternatives for all Nigerians, with a constant focus on supporting sustainable and low-carbon transportation solutions.
The minister appealed to all stakeholders to join forces in pursuing a more sustainable and climate-resilient transport industry, emphasizing the potential advantages for the nation.
