Nigeria defender, Ekerette Udom has completed a move to Spanish club, Villarreal, DAILY POST reports.
Udom joined the Yellow Submarine from Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) outfit, Rivers United.
The 21-year-old penned a two-year contract with the former UEFA Europa League champions.
Villarreal announced the centre-back’s arrival on their official website.
“Villarreal FC have reached an agreement with Rivers United for the transfer of young defender Ekerette Udom, who joins Villarreal B’s ranks.”
Udom will initially join Villarreal’s B team, which competes in the Primera Federación – Group 2.
The young defender featured regularly for Rivers United last season in the CAF Confederation Cup and NPFL.
He previously played for Sunshine Stars and Nasarawa United.
