Transfer: Super Falcons star, Payne departs Sevilla after six years

Spanish Femenino outfit, Sevilla have severed ties with their Nigerian import, Toni Payne, DAILY POST reports.

Payne is leaving the Rojiblancos after six years.

The Nigerian joined Sevilla from Dutch club, Ajax in 2018.

The 29-year-old registered 30 goals and 20 assists in 181 appearances across all competitions for the Red and Whites.

Payne was born to Nigerian parents in Birmingham, Alabama, United States of America.

The winger represented USA at the youth level before later switching allegiance to Nigeria.

Payne has made 14 appearances for the nine-time African champions.

She is expected to be included in Super Falcons’ squad for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
