Barcelona announced on Friday that the Catalan club has signed Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig.
Olmo signed a contract with Barcelona that will see him remain at Camp Nou for the next six seasons, until June 30, 2030.
“I’m happy to be back home,” Olmo told Barcelona’s website after joining the club.
Meanwhile, in another development, Katerina Svitkova has departed Chelsea to join Slavia Prague in her native Czech Republic on a permanent deal.
Chelsea disclosed this in a statement on their website on Friday.
Svitkova, an attacking midfielder, joined the Blues from fellow Women’s Super League side West Ham United in July 2022.
“Everyone at Chelsea would like to thank Katerina for her contribution during her time at the club, and we wish her every success upon her return to Slavia Prague,” Chelsea’s statement partly read.
