Transfer: Neto chooses Arsenal as Chelsea announce departure of 29-year-old star

Wolves winger, Pedro Neto, wants to join Arsenal this summer transfer window.

According to TeamTalk, the Portuguese is keen to complete a move to the Gunners ahead of the coming 2024/25 season.

Arsenal have already held preliminary talks with the Neto’s agent regarding a potential move to the Emirates club.

The report added that Mikel Arteta’s side are in “pole position” to sign the 24-year-old ahead of Chelsea.

Meanwhile, in another development, Chelsea announced the departure of 29-year-old goalkeeper Nicky Evrard.

In a statement on their website on Friday, Chelsea said Evrard left the Premier League west London club on a permanent transfer to PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands.

“Everyone at Chelsea would like to thank Nicky for her contributions in blue, and we wish her every success for the next chapter of her career,” Chelsea’s statement partly read.
