Former West Ham striker, Paolo Di Canio has claimed that Manchester United chiefs should be arrested after selling Scott McTominay in the summer.
The Scotland midfielder signed for Napoli in a £27.5million deal, as Erik ten Hag decided to bring in Manuel Ugarte from PSG.
McTominay came off the bench in United’s opening two Premier League matches before leaving.
The 27-year-old is already impressing in Italy, recording a goal and assist in his last two matches under Antonio Conte, as Napoli sit top of Serie A.
Di Canio is perplexed at the decision to allow McTominay leave Old Trafford.
“I would go to those at Manchester United to arrest all the directors – ‘how can you give away McTominay?’” Di Canio said in an interview with Il Mattino.
