Manchester United have ended their interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte in their search for a new midfielder, according to The Athletic.
The Premier League club will now turn their attention to other transfer targets.
It is understood that United do not intend to meet PSG’s asking price for the Uruguay international.
PSG are demanding around the £51.4m (€60m) fee they paid to sign Ugarte from Sporting Lisbon last summer.
The clubs are reportedly quite far apart in their respective valuations of the 23-year-old and only if PSG reduce their request will United return to the table, but so far no progress has been made.
