Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has reportedly asked for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo in a possible swap deal for Julian Alvarez.
According to Catalan outlet Nacional, Guardiola is an admirer of the Brazilian international.
This comes after Alvarez expressed unhappiness with his playing time under Guardiola at Man City.
The Argentina international featured in 54 games, scoring 19 goals and providing 13 assists for City last season.
But the presence of the likes of Erling Haaland and Phil Foden has rendered him a second option for Guardiola’s side.
Alvarez has generated interest from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, while Chelsea and Arsenal are also rumoured to be interested in signing him.
