Transfer: Falconets forward, Ajakaye moves to American club on loan

Former Falconets striker, Opeyemi Ajakaye has sealed a loan move to USL Super League club, Carolina Ascent FC.

Ajakaye moved to Carolina Ascent from another USL club, Kansas City.

The 18-year-old previously played for Robo Queens and Madrid CFF.

The player was part of NigerIa’s Flamingos side that came third at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India.

The striker expressed her delight after making the switch.

“We are really excited to bring Opeyemi on board,” head coach, Philip Poole told the club’s official website.

“We have been pretty active in recruiting young, high potential players and she fits that mold. I know, once she adjusts, she will be an impact player for us. She is such a kind and wonderful person, and we are looking forward to the future.”
