Former Juventus attacker, Alessandro Matri believes there is still a chance for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen to join the Bianconeri in the summer transfer window.
Osimhen, who is currently with the Nigeria national team at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, recently hinted that he will leave Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in the summer.
Napoli’s President, Aurelio de Laurentiis, also confirmed the 25-year-old’s potential summer exit, saying they are already aware.
As a result of the development, the former Lille star has been linked with different top European clubs like Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Arsenal.
However, Matri wants Juventus to sell Dusan Vlahovic in order to sign Osimhen next summer, recalling how the Old Lady landed Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli in the past.
“I would not rule out Osimhen going to Juventus,” Matri told DAZN.
“If [Dusan] Vlahovic ends this season well, he could be sold for €70m, while Matias Soulé can also bring in a very healthy profit.
“The purchase would not be unsustainable and don’t forget Juve have done this before with Gonzalo Higuain. They saved money this season and if they qualify for the Champions League, they would have that extra cash to spend.”
