Transfer: Chelsea to break British transfer record for EPL striker

Chelsea are ready to move for Brighton striker Evan Ferguson in the summer, talkSPORT reports.

It is believed the Blues have been tracking Ferguson for some time.

They also have a good relationship with Brighton, having paid well for Marc Cucurella and Moises Caicedo.

Chelsea also got former manager Graham Potter and several backroom staff from the Seagulls.

However, Ferguson only put pen to paper on a new contract in November and is valued more than the £115 million British record fee Chelsea paid for Caicedo.

It is also thought Ferguson is in no rush to leave.

Ferguson’s impressive performances attracted interest from Manchester United last summer and also from Tottenham, who were on the lookout for Harry Kane’s replacement.
