Former Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi, has said he and Didier Drogba are trying to convince Victor Osimhen to join Chelsea from Napoli.
Osimhen has a €130m release clause in his current contract and is almost certain to leave Italy this summer.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a deal that would see Romelu Lukaku move the other way.
Mikel Obi has now revealed that Osimen likes Chelsea and fans could see him very soon.
He said: “We want somebody who can finish, score goals, the tap-ins. Someone like Erling Haaland. That’s something Victor Osimhen will bring to Chelsea.
“I hope that Chelsea fans will finally see him come to the club. I’ll make sure I send him those texts messages and calls, making sure Chelsea is his top priority!
“Didier is also speaking to him, sharing his own ideas and what the club means to us. We all want to see Victor come to the club.”
