Riccardo Calafiori is set to join up with the Arsenal squad when all the details of his transfer from Bologna are sorted out on Wednesday.
The two clubs have exchanged documents for the defender’s sale, The Athletic reports.
Calafiori will now undergo medicals with the Gunners ahead of a summer move.
The deal is expected to be a package worth around €50m (£42.1m).
It is understood that another Premier League side, as well as Juventus and Real Madrid, tried to sign Calafiori within the last 10 days.
However, the Italy international only wanted to join Arsenal and has given his word.
