Mario Balotelli has agreed a deal with Genoa until June 2025.
The Italian striker’s shock return to Serie A was confirmed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on Saturday.
According to Romano, Balotelli only wanted to sign for Genoa and accepted a reduced salary.
Romano tweeted: “Mario Balotelli to Genoa, here we go! Deal in place to sign Italian striker on contract valid until June 2025.
“Balotelli has been waiting for 20 days as he only wanted Genoa, he spoke several times to Alberto Gilardino…
“…and now joins as free agent on reduced salary.”
Balotelli, who has played for Inter Milan and AC Milan in Italy, has been without a club since leaving Turkish side Adana Demirspor earlier this year.
