Tornadoes coach relishes tough win against Shooting Stars

Niger Tornadoes Interim coach Majin Mohammed has revealed that the victory over Shooting Stars was a hard-fought one.

The Ikon Allah Boys ended Shooting Stars’ six-game unbeaten run with a 2-1 win at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.

Clinton Jephta and Ikenna Offor were on target for Niger Tornadoes, while Christian Pyagbara scored for Shooting Stars.

Mohammed commended his players for fighting hard to get the maximum points.

“What can I say other than to give glory to God for the victory, it wasn’t easy,” he told the club’s media.

“Shooting Stars are not pushovers and they showed it in the game. Remember their coach isn’t a newbie to the game he has been around for long, he knows what is at stake.

“The players showed determination to get the maximum points which I commend them for.”

Niger Tornadoes moved up to 14th position on the table with 33 points following the win.
