President Bola Tinubu on Friday sent his condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the late Dr Thomas John, former Group Managing Director of the erstwhile Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
This was disclosed in a statement by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President Media on Publicity.
DAILY POST had reported that John, a seasoned administrator and oil and gas industry professional, died at the age of 84.
Tinubu acknowledges John’s remarkable and impactful dedication to developing the Nigerian oil and gas sector, recognizing his years of tireless service to the nation, and versatile expertise widely acknowledged by industry players and colleagues.
The President also prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed and divine comfort for those who mourn the loss of this distinguished Nigerian.
John, a former Non-Executive Director at United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, held various positions within the industry.
He also served as a Non-Executive Director at South Atlantic Petroleum (SAPETRO).
