Three ministers that could be sacked after merger of ministries

At least three ministers could be considered sacked, unless they are assigned another portfolio by President Bola Tinubu.

They are:
John Enoh (Cross River) – Minister of Sports Development
Lola Ade John (Lagos) – Minister of Tourism

Abubakar Momoh (Edo) – Minister of Niger Delta

This follows the cabinet reshuffle carried out by the President on Wednesday.

Tinubu, during the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting scrapped the Niger Delta Ministry and the Ministry of Sports Development.

There will now be a Ministry of Regional Development to oversee all the regional development commissions, such as Niger Delta Development Commission, North West Development Commission, South West Development Commission, North East Development Commission and South East Development Commission.

The National Sports Commission will also take over the role of the Ministry of Sports, henceforth.

During the FEC meeting, Tinubu also approved the merger of the Ministry of Tourism with the Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy.

Meanwhile, Tinubu has sacked the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman and the Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs Uju Kennedy Ohaneye.
