Teenager in Police net for kidnapping, killing of 11-year-old boy in Yobe

The Yobe state Police Command says it has arrested a 19-year-old man for allegedly kidnapping and killing an 11-year-old boy in Gujba local government area of the state.

The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Garba, who disclosed this to newsmen, also said the suspect confessed that he demanded the sum of N600,000 from the victim’s parents, but they were unable to raise the money.

The CP said the suspect fed the victim with harmful drugs which resulted to his death, after which he buried him in a shallow grave.

He said the Command in the last four months recorded a total number of 245 criminal cases involving armed robbery, kidnapping, homicide and rape.
