Teacher’s killing: At last, union resolves to reopen secondary schools in Taraba

The Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, ASUSS, Taraba State branch, has finally resolved to resume academic activities in secondary schools across the state.

The decision was announced at a press conference on Sunday.

The union, it would be recalled, recently crippled learning activities in secondary schools in the state following the murder of one of its members, Bassey Sardauna.

Dr Ishaku Kazon, Secretary General of the union, urged members to resume academic activities in their various schools tomorrow, Monday.

The decision, according to him, was arrived at after fruitful deliberations with agencies of the state government.

“After several hours of meeting with the agencies of the state government, the union has unanimously agreed to reopen the secondary schools across the state.
