TCN announces outage in Nasarawa over maintenance

The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, has announced an electricity outage in parts of Nasarawa State due to maintenance of its facility.

Ndidi Mbah, the General Manager of Public Affairs at TCN disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

TCN stressed that the outage was because of annual preventive maintenance at its 40MVA Transformer at Akwanga Transmission Substation.

The maintenance is expected to take place on Saturday, June 22, 2024, between the hours of 9:30 am and 4:30 pm.

It stated that areas in Nasarawa State that will be affected are Akwanga Town, Wamba, Gudi, Garaku, Nasarawa Eggon and its Environ.

“Consequently, Abuja DisCo will be unable to offtake power from the transformer for supply to Akwanga Town, Wamba, Gudi, Garaku, Nasarawa Eggon and its Environ.
Power supply will be restored immediately after the maintenance is completed by 4.30 pm the same day”, TCN stated.
