Taraba College of Nursing selected to receive FG’s broadband infrastructure

The Taraba State College of Nursing and Midwifery has been selected among tertiary institutions to receive the federal government’s broadband infrastructure.

Provost of the College, Mrs Esther Gana, said the move is to enable both the staff and students of the institution to have access to internet facilities.

Esther, who disclosed this on Thursday at the maiden combined convocation of the institution, said the full accreditation of the institution by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, necessitated the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy’s gesture to the institution.

“The institution is one of the selected tertiary institutions to be provided with a broadband infrastructure by the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy which would enable staff and students to have access to the internet.” She said,

Meanwhile, Governor Agbu Kefas, through his Deputy, Aminu Alkali, said his administration was committed to healthcare delivery.

“It is my dream to see that the College of Nursing and Midwifery Jalingo becomes the best not only in Nigeria but Africa at large”.

A total of 2452 students comprising 1,801 post-basic, basic, refresher nursing, 438 post-basic, basic midwifery, 108 community nursing and 105 community midwifery students, were graduated by the institution.
