Suspected bandits have killed a driver, known as; Danladi Jobe, just as they abducted two others along the Abuja-Kaduna highway.
A resident of Katari, Yahuza Alhassan, said the incident happened around 9:33 pm at Dogon-Fili, a few kilometres away from Jere town.
He said the deceased was returning from a neighbouring village market when the bandits suddenly emerged from the bush and opened on the car, killing the driver instantly.
According to him, one of the victims, Shuaibu, a farmer, was wisked away into the bush
“The bandits, after killing the driver, now went after the man, who is a farmer and dispossessed him of N980,000 cash, before they whisked him away alongside one other person from the car into the bush,” he said.
The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Mansur Hassan, did not pick his calls, even as he didn’t respond to text message sent to him.
