Supreme Court judgement plot to deny Nnamdi Kanu justice – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said the judgement of the Supreme Court on Friday, which referred its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case back to the high court, is a plot to keep him in prison.

The group called on the international community to take note, saying that if any breakdown of order happens in Nigeria during this period, the Supreme Court justices should be held responsible.

In a press release signed by the group’s Publicity Secretary, Mr Emma Powerful, IPOB said: “For the Supreme Court to move the case due for judgment back to a lower court is a scripted comedy skit to delay and deny Mazi Nnamdi Kanu justice.

“The biased and teleguided Supreme Court judgment against Mazi Nnamdi shows that Supreme Court Justices are colluding with the Nigerian government to perpetuate injustice against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB.

“How can the Supreme Court Justices indirectly justify and endorse international kidnapping and extraordinary rendition of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu while pronouncing condemnation against the same act?

“Is Nigeria Supreme Court wired to operate outside the international laws that frown on extraordinary rendition? Or did the Supreme Court Justices just speak from both sides of their mouths?

“IPOB worldwide is notifying the international community that if any breakdown of order happens in Nigeria during this period, the Nigeria Supreme Court Justices should be held responsible.

“It is unfortunate that the Supreme Court Justices have turned themselves into a tool of oppression for the oppressors.”

The group also accused President Bola Tinubu of pursuing an ethnic agenda against Igbos.
