‘Support me if you don’t want me sacked in few months’- Keyamo tells CEOs in Aviation Ministry

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has read the riot act to chief executives under his ministry on the need for 100 per cent performance.

He also sought the support of stakeholders in the industry to protect his job.

Keyamo disclosed this recently during a one-day stakeholders’ meeting in Lagos.

According to him, all hands must be on the deck to avoid being sacked by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“We had a three-day retreat with Mr President, all the ministers were in attendance. We signed a performance bond. I also signed my performance bond yesterday. So, if you don’t want me to get sacked in the next few months, you must support me.

“On this side, either I get sacked, or they get sacked. So, it is a race to who will survive. That’s what I have told all my CEOs: somebody must die first, but before I die, I will take you down.”

The development comes days after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signed a performance bond with ministers during a three-day cabinet retreat in Abuja.
