Nigeria defender Olisa Ndah will be sidelined for a long period, according to his South African club, Orlando Pirates.
Ndah sustained the injury in Pirates’ league clash against Polokwane City last month.
The centre-back, who was replaced by Nkosinathi Sibisi four minutes from time was named Man of the Match after the encounter.
“The Bucs medical department has confirmed that the 26 year old has suffered a tibia fracture” reads a statement on the club’s official website.
“Due to the location and nature of the injury; the decision on surgery is not straightforward but based on this type of injury, Ndah has been ruled out for the rest of the year.”
The injury forced the former Akwa United player to miss Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.
