Sporting Supreme target NPFL promotion

Sporting Supreme have expressed confidence in securing promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League next season.

The general manager of the club, Shuaibu Yakubu, disclosed this ahead of the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoff tournament slated to hold in Enugu.

Yakubu stated that his team is ready to take on rival clubs in the competition.

“We are in good shape, and the boys are ready. We have already achieved our first goal by qualifying for the play-offs. Now, our main target is to win promotion to the NPFL,” Yakubu told the club’s media.

“Our aim as a team is to win promotion to the NPFL, and that mandate hasn’t changed.

“This is our opportunity to restore the capital city to the elite football division, and we are calling on our fans and supporters to back us from start to finish.”

Sporting Supreme will take on Sokoto United in their opening game of the tournament.

The tournament will begin on Friday (today) at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu.
