Sporting Lagos coach, Offor angry with supporters’ attitude in draw with Heartland

Sporting Lagos head coach, Paul Offor has expressed his anger with the attitude of the club’s supporters in the team’s draw against Heartland.

Offor’s side held the visitors to a 1-1 draw at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

Sporting Lagos rallied to equalise in the last minute of the game through in-form forward Jonathan Alukwu after Heartland took the lead in the 70th minutes by Chinedu Ike.

Offor challenged the fans to show more appreciation for the players’ efforts in games.

“A team came here to pick a point; the fans should also believe that Sporting Lagos too can go away to pick point,” Offor told DAILY POST after the game.

“The fans should appreciate the efforts the players are putting in all games.

“It’s time the fans also appreciate what the league is trying to build, which is a free and fair match.

“We all clamour for it and we need to be ready to key into it.”

Sporting Lagos occupy ninth position on the table with 12 points.
