Southern Kaduna: Community calls investigation into kidnapping, killings of kinsmen by bandits

The people of Dokan Karji community, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, have called on the Nigerian military to launch an investigation into the incessant abduction and killings of their kinsmen by bandits in the communities.

The 14 communities where abductions and killings have become rampant, according to a statement issued by the Youth Leader, Dokan Karji Community, Aminu Khalid are Sabon gida libere, Maikudumi, Fili, Unguwan Nabara and Mahuta.

Other communities, according to the statement are Sabon layin Kan’makama, Unguwan Isah, Ruwan Sanyi, Unguwan Danja, Unguwan maizuma, Unguwan Zango Unguwan gayya, Unguwan Garkuwa and Nasarawa.

Khalid said, “The attention of the Dokan Karji community, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has been drawn to a dubious report by a supposed Journalist “Bomba Dauda” who wrote a strong rebuttal to discredit our plight published in some of the leading National Newspapers recently.

“The newspapers had correctly reported the impunity of bandits operating in some of our beleaguered communities to the extent that they have now chased out everyone there and have taken over our lands unchallenged by the state.”

The youth leader stated that Nigeria and the world should not be misled by what he called “the unsympathetic and totally false narration of Bomba Dauda as he has not shown any hint of humanity to our plight”.
