Sodiq beat veteran striker Sikiru Alimi, Jide Fatokun and Olamilekan Adebayo to the award.
The energetic right-back tops the assist chart in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season, with five assists in five games.
Sodiq will be aiming to add to his tally when Remo Stars travel to the Pantami Township Stadium for an NPFL matchday fixture against Remo Stars this weekend.
Remo Stars have recorded four wins and two defeats in six games this season.
