Singer, Rexxie arrested in Uganda

Nigerian record producer and singer, Chisom Faith, popularly known as Rexxie, has been arrested in Uganda.

The ‘KKP’ crooner disclosed this via his Instagram page on Monday morning.

He revealed that he was being held by the Ugandan Immigration.

However, he didn’t disclose the reason for his arrest which he described as “unfair.”

The producer, while calling for help, urged fans to demand for his release with the hashtag, “UgandaFreeRexxie.”

He wrote, “I’ve been arrested at the Ugandan Immigration.

“Pls I need help.”
DAILY POST recalls that Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems were arrested and charged to court and subsequently detained in prison in Uganda for making an appearance at a concert held in the country at Speke Resort, Kampala, on Saturday, 12th of December, despite COVID-19 social distancing regulations.

They were later released after spending two days in jail.
