Shun tribal sentiment – Ohinoyi of Ebiraland begs Kogites

The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, HRM Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Tijani Anaje, has appealed to the people of Kogi State to live in unity and shun ethnic differences.

Anaje gave the advice on Saturday in his palace while receiving the Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon Monday Anyebe, who paid him a traditional homage in Okene.

The monarch enjoined all tribes in the state to live as one big family by shunning tribal sentiments and work towards the progress and development of the state.

His words: “The three major ethnic groups in Kogi State, Igala, Ebira and Okun, and others should see one another as brothers and sisters. Without peace, unity and stability the society would not move forward.”

The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland who described the commissioner’s visit as timely, advised Youths in Kogi State to shun all forms of social vices and engage themselves in meaningful things for their own good.

Speaking earlier, the Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Monday Anyebe, said he was in the Ohinoyi’s palace to intimate him on the vision and mission of the present administration for youth development in the state.
