Commissioner for Industry in Cross River State, Dr Mathias Unimke has cautioned youths to de-emphasise the craze for quick money and rather pursue their academic activities.
He also warned that they should stop cutting corners, shun crimes and not be in a hurry to make money.
The commissioner spoke in an interview, advising strongly that youths should be studious and hardworking.
“You can’t make it without going through the ladder. You have to study harder, work harder to reach the height.
“You can’t count 10 before coming back to call one. You must count from one to 10. Let the youths calm down, determined, focused and resilient.
“Nigerian youths should first acquire education and money will come later,” he said.
According to him, with academics, one can attain much higher level in life.
“Education can open doors, it doesn’t matter your background,” he said.
