Serie A: Okoye keeps clean sheet on Udinese debut

Nigeria goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye put up a superb performance as Udinese recorded a 3-0 victory over Bologna in their Serie A clash on Saturday.

Okoye made his Serie A debut for the Zebras in the encounter.

The 24-year-old linked up with Gabrielle Cioffi ‘s side from Sky Bet Championship club, Watford, in the summer.

It was the first time Bologna has failed to score a goal in 12 league outings this season.

Roberto Pereyra, Lorenzo Lucca and Martin Payero were the goal scorers for the home team in the game.

Okoye’s inactivity at club level cost him a place in Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
