Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has insisted that Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi is way ahead of rival Cristiano Ronaldo who plays for Al Nassr.
Carragher stated this while speaking to host, Kate Abdo on CBS Sports.
According to him, there was “never a debate” between Messi and Ronaldo.
“It was never a debate. Ronaldo’s nowhere near the level of Messi,” Carragher said.
He added: “Ronaldo is one of the greatest goalscorers of all time, Messi is the greatest player of all time, it’s not even close.
“Ronaldo scored goals, Messi scored goals and was an unbelievable player.”
Messi has won the Ballon d’Or award eight times throughout his career, three more than Ronaldo.
