Rivers United captain, Nwagua seeks Confederation Cup success

After Rivers United qualified for the quarter-final stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, captain, Nyima Nwagua believes the team can win the competition.

The Pride of Rivers reached the knockout stage of the competition after a 2-1 win over Dream FC of Ghana.

The former Nigeria Premier Football League champions finished second in Group C with 10 points.

The Port Harcourt club awaits their next opponents in the knockout stage of the competition.

“We have worked hard to get to this point, we will not look down on ourselves,” he told NPFL Tori podcast.

“We have everything to win the cup.”

The draw for the quarter-final is billed for 12th March, 2024.
