The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, has alerted the public to be aware of individuals using unauthorized policemen to illegally seize land under the name of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
CP Disu warned officers involved to cease such activities, stating that any police investigation in Rivers State requires his clearance.
In response to complaints from Eze Esara the 4th, CP Disu directed Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers to monitor and prevent illegal land grabs, particularly in the Iriebe community.
Eze Worenwu, represented by Eze Clinton Weli, reported to the state police command that a woman claiming to work for the IG was using hoodlums to seize land in the community.
