Renovation work has started at the Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium, Minna, Niger State.
The stadium is the home ground of Nigeria Premier Football League side, Niger Tornadoes.
According to Niger Tornadoes media, work has already commenced at the stadium.
Honourable Danjuma Abdullahi Musa, who is a member of the maintenance committee, disclosed that the work is expected to be completed in six weeks for Niger Tornadoes to return to the ground.
He revealed that the maintenance work will cost N40 million.
Niger Tornadoes currently play their home matches at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
The Hamza Abarah’s team have recorded two wins and a draw in their adopted home ground.
