Mr Ahmadu Abdullahi, Commissioner of Police in Jigawa State, has assured applicants for the Police Constable Cadre recruitment in the state of transparency.
Abdullahi gave the assurance in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Lawan Shiisu, in Dutse on Sunday.
He warned officials deployed for the exercise against collecting money from applicants, families or any other person.
He said the applicants who completed the online recruitment registration exercise into the police constable cadre (General Duty/Specialist) and received invitation letters via their emails are to proceed for physical and credential screening scheduled from January 8 to January 29 at Police Headquarters in Dutse.
“The exercise is free of charge and without any pecuniary obligation and process will be conducted in the best tradition of transparency and accountability.
“Also, the applicants are advised to be wary of online impostors, scammers, and other criminal elements who may want to take advantage of the process to dupe them.
“Anyone found wanting during the exercise will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly,” the CP warned.
The CP added that successful applicants should appear at the police headquarters in their clean white T-shirts and shorts, recent passport photographs, evidence of physical/mental fitness from a government-recognised hospital and evidence of good character from the Traditional Ruler or Village/District Head of the applicant.
Others were National Identity Number, NIN, original and duplicate copies of credentials, birth certificate/declaration of age, printout of application forms, duly completed guarantor’s forms and invitation slips.
According to him, any candidate who fails to present any of the mentioned requirements will not be considered for the screening.
