The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Ogundare Dare, has confirmed that the three vehicles and two motorcycles used by robbers who invaded a bank in Ikere-Ekiti on Wednesday have been recovered.
A statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti by the police command’s Public Relations Officer, Sunday Abutu, said the CP confirmed the robbers left the vehicles and ran into the bush after they were fiercely engaged by security agents.
The statement noted that CP Dare, who made the disclosure when he visited the scene for an on-the-spot assessment, directed the Ikere Area Commander and all the tactical teams within the command to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book.
He subsequently enjoined anyone with useful information concerning the identities and whereabouts of armed robbers to contact the police.
