Police arrest two suspected drug dealers in Imo

The Imo State Police Command has arrested two suspected drug dealers, Kelechi Ekeopra and John Aburodo, from whom were recovered large quantities of weeds suspected to be Indian Hemp in the suspect’s criminal hideout.

The arrests were made when the command’s anti-narcotics unit raided some shanties and flash points in Ihiagwa, Owerri West Local Government Area on April 18, 2024.

A statement issued on Monday by Henry Okoye, the police spokesperson in the state said: “The Command will continue to clamp down on hard drug dealers and peddlers in Imo State.

“The suspects, Kelechi Ekeopra, and John Aburodo, are currently cooling their heels in police custody where a thorough investigation has been initiated to apprehend other suspects in the distribution chain.

“They will be arraigned in court upon completion of the ongoing investigation.”
