Operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command have arrested four armed robbery suspects in Nasarawa Local Government Area.
This development followed a swift response to a distress call, as detailed in a statement by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel.
The suspects, arrested on Sunday by Nasarawa Division police operatives led by CSP Mohammed Padah, had reportedly attacked several student lodges and a hotel in the Gunki area, injuring two students of the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, and making off with cell phones and other valuables.
The statement reads in part: “Responding, police operatives swiftly raced to the scene and rushed the injured victims to General Hospital, Nasarawa, while the criminals were given a hot chase.
“Consequently, four suspects were arrested, namely, Usman Abdullahi of Sabon Layi, Keffi; Abdullahi Mohammed and Ibrahim Musa, both of Angwan Tiv, Masaka; and Fa’ad Idris of Jahun area of Bauchi State.
“One blood-stained knife, one jack knife, scissors, 8 Apple iPhones, 27 assorted Android phones of different brands, two laptops, five torch lights, two MP3 music players, four bags, six power banks and a cash sum of N298,000 were recovered from the suspects as exhibits.”
