Plateau: APC urges speaker to swear in its 16 party members

DAILY POST recalls that the speaker in January said he would not swear in the new members until the court’s verdict on the suit filed by the sacked 16 PDP lawmakers.

However, the Appeal Court on Tuesday dismissed the suit and fined the sacked lawmakers N128 million for seeking review of its judgment.

The 16 PDP lawmakers have been aggrieved ever since they were axed by the appellate court in what was later considered an erroneous judgement based on the Supreme Court’s decision on similar matters.

However, their latest efforts to have the judgement reviewed yielded no fruit.
