Patient escapes from Ogun hospital over unpaid medical bills

The Ogun State Police Command is looking for Saba Elizabeth, a patient at the Federal Medical Centre, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, in Ogun State.

The patient reportedly fled on Saturday due to her inability to pay her medical bills after having treatment at the medical centre for an undisclosed disease.

According to reports, she was admitted to the medical center’s gynecology unit on November 11, 2023, and was supposed to be discharged on November 16, 2023.

She was unable to leave the hospital, however, due to her failure to meet her financial obligations to the medical institution.

She was alleged to have lied to hospital staff that she went to buy food at a local store but never returned to the hospital, knowing she could not pay her medical bills.
