Nigeria’s Blessing Oborududu has qualified for the semi-final of women’s Wrestling 68kg at the 2024 Olympic Games.
Oborududu defeated her French opponent, Koumba Larroque 6-2 in their quarter-final match.
She is now guaranteed to leave Paris 2024 with a medal by qualifying for the last four.
Earlier, the African champion defeated her Canadian opponent Linda Morais in the quarter-finals.
The powerful wrestler had a slow start conceding two points but she rallied in the second half, to score six consecutive points, going on to win the match 8-2 on points.
Oborodudu will be in action again later this evening.
