The lawmaker representing Oyo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has reacted to the passage of the bill on the establishment of a Federal Medical Center in Igboora by the Senate.
DAILY POST gathered that the Senate on Thursday passed the bill into law.
Alli, in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Thursday, noted that the Senate passed the bill in concurrence with the House of Representatives.
The lawmaker, in the statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, noted that the bill will now be sent to the President for assent.
Alli dded that the bill will bring the long-awaited medical facility closer to the people of Igboora.
The All Progressives Congress chieftain maintained that the passage of the bill marks a significant step toward improving healthcare access for the people of Igboora and its surrounding communities.
Alli emphasized that the establishment of the FMC in Igboora would drastically reduce the need for residents to travel long distances to Abeokuta, Ibadan, or Ogbomoso to receive medical attention.
He added that the FMC would serve as a critical health institution in Oyo State, addressing the healthcare challenges faced by the community.
Alli said, “The establishment of the FMC in Igboora will ensure easy access to medical care for our people, saving time, reducing expenses, and ultimately improving health outcomes.”
