The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, has advised Corps members to promote development through unity and integration in order to achieve the goals of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
Oyebanji, who gave the advice at the Ise/ Emure/Orun Ekiti Orientation Camp during the swearing ceremony of the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream 2 NYSC deployed to Ekiti State, also stressed the need for the corps members to see themselves as agents of change.
The governor enjoined them to
support efforts of the government at improving the general wellbeing of the people in their respective host communities.
Speaking through the Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Gold Adedayo, Oyebanji emphasized the importance 9f
hard work, discipline and service.
He assured that the state government would continue to recognize outstanding achievements by corps members, adding that whatever sacrifices they make during their stay in the state would be acknowledged and properly rewarded.
Oyebanji noted that the state had consistently rewarded outstanding
Corps members with the prestigious State Honours Award and therefore
solicited the unflinching steadfastness of the new set in rendering outstanding service during the scheme.
Oyebanji tasks NYSC members on unity, integration, development
