Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen showed off the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award to Napoli fans at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Saturday night.
Osimhen was named African Footballer of the Year after scoring 26 Serie A goals to help Napoli win the Scudetto last season.
The award ceremony took place in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday night.
The 24-year-old was the first Nigerian to win the award in 24 years.
The striker paraded the trophy for his club’s fans at the Stadio Maradona, accompanied by his family ahead of a Serie A clash with Cagliari.
He finished in eighth position in the 2023 Men’s Ballon d’Or.
